Play Games, What More To Want From A Job?
The online gaming industry is changing the way people earn money.
There is a new way people can earn money on the Internet today and it involves playing online skill games. Who would have believed it a mere 20 years ago? If one had predicted that people would be earning handsome sums of money on a regular basis playing games, probably no one would have believed it.
Yet here we are, the online gaming business is opening a whole new industry that is already turning over billions. From “World of Warcraft” to Arcade Games, skip online Casinos and Poker Rooms, to Lottery Agencies, all have something in common: letting people spend money to participate in some or other online game.
The latest newcomer is the online skills games industry. As governments are acting fast to stop their locals from exporting their money to foreign gaming businesses, read: spend their money with online gambling, which is mostly useless on the Internet, some operators have found an ingenious way to circumvent these new legal barriers.
An alternative to online gambling.
A nice example is the USA who passed a law recently making online gambling illegal. The result was that Advertisers worldwide could not make publicity on Google’s AdWords anymore for the promotion of online gambling if it was aimed at the American public.
Naturally, a couple of brilliant minds quickly found an alternative. They came up with the idea of creating a skills games platform. The principle is based on humanity’s natural tendency to compete and be attracted to all events which involve some or other form of competition.
In this case, the creators of the skills based gaming interface are betting on the fact that people like playing games against one another and that this urge will create a whole new fast growing internet industry. They added a nice little twist to the concept, namely, the possibility of playing a skill game for money against a live opponent.
From Loteries to Gaming.
The culprit’s name is VWD, already responsible for another online hit with their Lottery Agency Site. VWD created uVme, which stands for “You Versus Me”. They branded the famous victory sign and launched the beta version online for pre registered members in November of last year. (2007)
The new element is that one can play other people anywhere in the world and bet to win. For example, take “Ball“, one of a dozen games that are playable online. After registering and adding some credit to the online account, say, 10$, one can practise awhile at playing an online game of 9-ball.
The program is extremely life like, and makes skill count in the points earned. A good trick shot will rapidly add to the earned points while a foul stroke will be penalised with points being taken away.
uVme is actively promoting the concept by way of the famous Multiple Leverage Marketing technique. Finding three active players will allow its affiliates to gain access to the gaming site entirely free. Finding even more will make it possible for the promoters to start thinking along the lines of building a regular monthly income.
